The DEMIRS WHS Risk Management Units for Statutory Positions Level 4 (Supervisors) program meets the requirements of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 for units for statutory positions.
The following statutory positions (pitched at an AQF Level 4) require two units of competency:
- Underground supervisor (non-coal)
- Underground supervisor (coal)
- Restricted quarry manager
- Statutory supervisor

Must attend days 2-4 (co-delivered with Program Two – Level 5).

3. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – Available for participants with extensive experience related to these units. Participants must complete relevant assessment documentation and provide evidence that meets the relevant units.

Level 5 Managers
The DEMIRS WHS Risk Management Units for Statutory Positions Level 5 (Managers) program meets the requirements of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 for units for statutory positions. It covers the application of risk management and work health and safety for holders of Statutory Positions, in accordance with Schedule 26 of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
These Regulations detail the requirements for the appointment of persons to statutory positions, which have specific workplace health and safety responsibilities. The following statutory positions (pitched at an AQF Level 5) require three units of competency:

- Exploration manager
